Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 9 June 2026 · Operated by Junaid Farooqui, Munich, Germany (postal address in the Impressum) · [email protected]
You can delete your Heimdall account and all associated personal data at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent — this is your right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR. This page also serves as the data-deletion instructions for accounts created with Google, Apple, Facebook, or LinkedIn sign-in.
1. Delete it yourself (recommended — takes seconds)
If you can sign in, this is the fastest way:
- Sign in at useheimdall.app/login.
- Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account (open Settings).
- Confirm by typing your email. Your account and all data are erased immediately.
2. Request deletion by email
If you signed up with a social provider and can no longer sign in, or you simply prefer we do it for you, email [email protected] from the email address tied to your account with the subject "Delete my data".
We verify the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually far sooner), then confirm by email. No reason is required.
3. What gets deleted
Account deletion permanently removes everything tied to your account, including:
- Your profile, email, and login credentials
- Connected social-login identities (Google, Apple, Facebook, LinkedIn) and any linked creator accounts
- Your niches, voice profile, competitors, and watchlists
- All generated briefs, content, and repurposed clips
- Performance data, usage records, and chat history
- Subscription records (billing invoices are retained by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, only as long as legally required for tax/accounting)
Deletion cascades across our database in a single atomic operation — no orphaned copies remain on our systems. Routine encrypted backups roll off on their normal cycle (at most 30 days).
4. Export your data first (optional)
Deletion is irreversible. If you want a copy before deleting, you can export all of your data as a JSON file from Settings → Download my data (right to data portability, Article 20 GDPR).
